Hello, I’m Jarkko, a software engineer. I want to create high-quality software.
I’ve written software professionally for about a decade. During that time, I’ve written software for various sectors, including utilities, security, and critical infrastructure. I also worked a short while in software consulting, but didn’t like it very much. Currently, I’m working in the banking sector.
I have experience working on backend, frontend, and mobile applications using different languages and technologies. I try to avoid limiting myself too much to specific technology stacks, but I’ve worked most in the Python and Java worlds.
My passion lies in building great products, promoting collaboration, improving work processes, and driving automation. I draw a lot of inspiration from Extreme Programming. I think they got a lot of things right there.
